Radiators:
Warning Signs*
- Vehicle runs overly hot
- Boils over on hot days
- Engine temperature rises quickly when towing a trailer
- Coolant leaks down in radiator area
- Radiator is removed in order to determine the material it has
been made from
- Inspect and report on all cooling system hoses
- Adjust and tighten all engine drive belts as required
- Plastic and aluminum radiators are pressure washed and flushed
- Copper and brass radiators are soaked in caustic soda and
flushed with water
- All leaks are located by pressure testing the system
- Leaks are then repaired if possible
- If the radiator is not repairable, a new UAP/Napa radiator
could be installed
- Our facilities are able to repair plastic, aluminum and
copper/brass radiators
